|Children Hope Community School|
Meet the students at Children Hope Community School, Smile Liberia's adopted school.
Smile Liberia will work with Children Hope Community School over the next five years (or during the course of the School Adoption Project). Smile Liberia intends to transform Children Hope into a modernized educational institution for elementary learning. The "New" Children Hope is a West Point community project that will accommodate 500 children from kindergarten to 6th grade. The school will also have a computer lab, a library, and an infirmary.
The "new" Children Hope will serve as a community center for the West Point community and will provide vocational learning opportunities for adults and youth that are not of school age. Children Hope will also accommodate disadvantaged children in the West Point community...
Here are the boys and girls that currently attend Children Hope
Smile Liberia recently awarded 5 scholarships to students at Children Hope. These students outperformed the rest of the students during the first 2 academic terms for the 2011/2012 school years.
As part of Smile Liberia's commitment of working to improve the learning condition at Children Hope Community School through the School Adoption Project, the CEO of Smile Liberia, Mr. William Ward, recently paid a visit to the school. During his visit, Mr. Ward completed a massive renovation exercise at Children Hope. The renovation exercise included the replacement of the entire roofing of the school, replacement of the interior ceiling mats, painting of the interior and exterior of the school, and the replacement of old blackboards and arm chairs.
